Letter 3: WHO AM I ?
When I watched the trailer I thought it’s
going to be hilarious cuz the vandalism is already not normal vandalism such as
breaking the windows or carving the doors but painting dicks on 27 vehicles.
After I watched the full series, I’ll say don’t expect to get a lot laughter from the show. It’s discussing some serious problems happening in most high
schools.
(Peter / Dylan)
There’s a line from the show that I really
love it. “High school is only four years of your life, it’s a span of time with
more questions than answers. How can anyone allow four years to define them ?
How can anyone pretend four years is long enough to know what type of person
they are ?”
Who am I ? I’m just me....that’s a stupid
question.
Patrick,
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that it wasn't funny? Or was it trying to be funny, and just not doing a good job?
The high school years are important to you as a person because they are very important formative years. Basically, high school is supposed to be where you learn how to be an adult. As you and I both know, there are a lot of people who come out of high school as still-immature kids. That's not how it supposed to work. The question that high school students, especially juniors and seniors, should be constantly be asking themselves is "Could I survive in the world on my own?" Most Taiwan high school graduates would have to answer "no". The Taiwan system allows at least an extra four years (college) for that. The American system is not as forgiving.
